Boat and Fishing Club

The Boat & Fishing Club was founded in 1979 by a small group of residents with similar interests.  The members realized it was possible to catch enough fish during the spring to supply an annual fish dinner for all members.  The tradition continues with our annual Fish Fry in April.  (Read More)

New Bocce CourtsBocce Club

Welcome to the LaCasa Bocce Club, a growing organization within the LaCasa Community. Over 180 members strong, we are an active, fun loving club that plays Bocce just for the fun of it during our daily games, and if you choose, for the skill of it during Myakka River League bocce competitions with 5 other parks in our area.

The La Casa Writers Club was started to address the needs of residents who were writing or just thinking about getting started on memories, poetry, short stories, novels, or perhaps more interesting shopping lists than those that were not worth retrieval from plastic supermarket bags. The club thinks of itself as a group perhaps because we don’t elect officers, keep minutes, collect money, or plan to open franchises in other parks.
