March 2021…one year of this COVID19 thing. Did anyone ever think that it would be this long? Hopefully the end is in sight. I do miss all of those who decided not to come to La Casa this season. The hustle and bustle is not quite here…getting up really early to sign in for dance tickets, going from one activity to the next. But I must say there have been some very creative gatherings. There was the October Halloween parade and party in the Rec Hall parking lot, November scavenger hunt, many decorated the park for Christmas and their homes for the Christmas light contest and the January poker run. Many thanks from the Artisans to those who planned and executed these events.
Our small gatherings of pottery groups are working very well in an effort to protect us. But we certainly miss the socializing with all of our friends. There will be many amazing, creative pieces shown at our next Artisans’ Show!
Drawing classes are meeting in the Club House on Wednesdays, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. Instructor Jerry Thompson says they plan to soon begin to experiment with 3D drawings.
While you are waiting for your first vaccine…wash your hands, wear a mask, social distance to keep you safe!
