High blood pressure (hypertension) is a major chronic condition in the United States. Many residents develop this condition as they age, but many have had it for years. Each week a resident of La Casa who also happens to be a retired nurse, is available to take your blood pressure after the Coffee Hour each Wednesday morning in the Rec Hall. Isn’t this a good way to keep tabs on your health? Even if you have never had an elevated blood pressure reading, it is good preventative health care.
