Each week, all year long, card games are a popular way to spend time with friends. Hand-and-foot is a popular game (similar to canasta) that is played in Regular and Progressive formats several times each week. Euchre is played on Friday evenings. Regular bridge games take place on Wednesday evenings and Friday afternoons. Duplicate bridge is played on Thursday afternoon.
Pinochle is usually played on Monday evenings, and poker games (mixed and women-only) happen on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Because the host or hostess changes each month, just check the Community Channel to get the name and telephone number of the person who is organizing that week’s card games. Some games require pre-registration because of partner requirements, but just check to make sure you have a seat.
OTHER GAMES:
Bunco, a popular dice game, is played at least twice a month. Cribbage and scrabble take place during the Season and mah jong has caught on in popularity. Again, check your Community Channel for up-to-date times and places.
