Tuesday, November 10th at 12:00 p.m. in the Rec Hall is our next Grandmothers Club meeting. Please bring your own lunch and we will provide dessert and beverages. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.
Tickets for our annual Christmas Luncheon will be sold before and after the meeting. Tickets are $22.00 each. Members only and tables of 8 or 10 persons.

A reminder to La Casa residents that this is the last week to get tickets to the La Casa Grandmother’s Club on Tuesday, March 10th.. The Fashion Show, Raffle and Silent Auction will start at 11:00 a.m. Lunch is being catered by D.J. Duckey with 2 choices: a cold cranberry-chicken salad with fresh fruit and croissant, or a hot chicken-a-la-king in pull pastry with side salad.
Dessert and complimentary wine will also be included. The cost of a ticket will be $18.00 and tickets go on sale starting February 10th. THE LAST CHANCE TO GET TICKETS WILL BE BEFORE BINGO, THURSDAY, MARCH 5th!!!
If you are planning on donating to this very worthy event, the drop-off homes are: 313 Robalo, 326 Bravado or 604 La Sala. All who donate will be recognized in the program booklet that each person will receive. The Silent Auction will offer sculptures, framed pictures, pottery items, jewelry, golf tickets and many other items.
The Dress Barn of North Port will be providing the fashions and remember, all monies raised go to help needy young people and families in the North Port area. Hope to see you there.
NOTE FROM GRANDMOTHER’S CLUB OFFICERS: We would like to apologize for an error in this month’s calendar. We are not planning a Palm Sunday Brunch. Instead, we will be having a Happy Hour dance and ice cream social on April 1st. Tickets will be going on sale after March 10th.
The La Casa Grandmother’s Club is having their annual Angel Tree Gift Card benefit again this year. These cards help North Port area Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
AS $10.00 Walmart Gift card or check made out to “Marilee Taylor” will be much appreciated. We will be collecting at our November 10th meeting or you can drop off at Marilee’s house at 216 La Costa.
The deadline is December 2nd so we can present at their annual Holiday Party. Thank you for your continued generosity!
The La Casa Grandmother’s Club Annual Halloween Dance will be Friday, October 31st (HALLOWEEN NIGHT!!). $5.00 tickets will be on sale before the October 8th Coffee Hour at 8:00 a.m. The dance is from 7 to 10 p.m., and prizes will be given for Scariest, Funniest, and Most original costumes. Also prizes for Best Group, Best Couple and Best Table Decorations.
