As of December 31, 2013, LCRE had completed ten years of selling homes for the residents of the La Casa community. LCRE is completely owned by the Homeowner’s Association of La Casa, so all profits and losses are retained within the community.

Beginning in 1975, almost 40 years ago, a dentist from Illinois had a vision of a mobile home park, to be called La Casa. He had some experience in building and after he moved to Sarasota’s Siesta Key, he decided he would create it along Highway 41 in Sarasota county. He laid out the streets, lakes and lots while his wife was the interior decorator of the model homes.
