The Photography Club of La Casa would love to have you attend a meeting, or even better join the club. The club meets at 7 P.M. on the second Tuesday of Nov. and Jan through April. The purpose of the club is to provide opportunities for learning photo related skills and to allow members to share their knowledge with others, but our primary purpose is to have fun.
The club has a yearly photo contest where
members submit pictures in various categories such as: children, flowers, sunsets, birds and animals, etc. The photos are then judged and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place photos are chosen. There are two levels of participants, “Beginners” and “Advanced”. At the awards night many people from La Casa, not only club members, attend just to see the excellent photos displayed.
Each month the club members bring in pictures of an assigned subject and show them. The other members then make suggestions on what could be done to make the picture better, such as crop the photo, move the horizon from the center of the picture to the bottom third of the photo, etc.
Remember the primary purpose is to have FUN!!
