Line Dancing Etiquette – January 2015

January 10, 2015 by Tim Davis

Line Dancers Etiquette

Line dancing is such great fun! If you have ever been to a dance at La Casa you know just how many enjoy it here. There are times when it can be a little dangerous too. Unlike partner dancing, where your partner can redirect you to avoid others, there is no one to ‘watch your back’ when you line dance.

Dancers, please consider:

  • There are times when two different line dances are being done on the dance floor at the same time.
  • These lines sometimes converge toward each other because of the choreography of their dances through turns or wall changes.
  • We are each focusing on our dance and cannot always see a neighbor until we are upon them.

When dancers allow sufficient space between the different line dancing groups, along the side and behind them, we can all fully enjoy ourselves and our line dancing at La Casa and avoid potential mishap!

Thank you
