Please read for information about a serious problem we have with TRASH!
At the Board Meeting on Monday, November 26th, Randy Browning our Park Manager, informed the residents that we have a serious problem going on with our dumpster. Below you will see a few pictures taken by Waste Management of the dumpster when they arrived to empty it. As you can see by the photo’s, the dumpster is overloaded and there are articles dumped on the ground. When you overload the dumpster, it causes a major problem for Waste Management to empty it. The trash falls out onto the top of the truck. The driver has to climb on top of the truck to clean it off. In addition, anything left on the ground will not pick up by Waste Management, our maintenance crew has to pick up these items on a regular basis.
Waste Management has informed La Casa that if overloading of the dumpster continues, they will no longer service us. The dumpster cover should be able to close. Do not put anything in that will cause the cover not to close. A lot of the items being thrown in can be picked up at your home on Friday Mornings free or charge, without causing La Casa additional money. At the present time, we are almost at $27,000 for the cost of empying the dumpster this year. Friday morning trash pick-up takes just about everything you leave at curbside if done correctly. Additionaly any of the items that are oversized can be picked up if you call them beforehand. Sometimes they will tell you if can go with your regular trash or they will send a separate truck to pick the item up. We are asking residents to please help us with not overfilling the dumpster.
