Dave and Ellen Hiatt, 626 La Sala, 260-637-5387 are from Ft. Wayne, IN. In the past, they have wintered in Sarasota, and most recently in Punta Gorda. The proximity to the beaches of La Casa was appealing. They were also impressed with the quality of the park and how much our park depends upon its volunteers. Dave is a retired civil engineer and Ellen is a retired nurse specializing in hospice. She now enjoys volunteering for Tidewell. Dave likes to golf, and Ellen is trying to learn. Dave also enjoys singing. Ellen is hoping to join the quilting group.
Dick & Claudette Chabre, 538 La Playa, 207-484-1043 are from Van Buren, ME, a small town as far north as you can go in Maine! For the past 6 winters they stayed in Zephyrhills, FL. Wanting to live full time in Florida, they chose La Casa because of the friendliness of the park, which they experienced personally whenever they visited Claudette’s brother and wife, Maurice and Jean Dumont. Claudette was a nurse in a nursing home for 36 years. Dick is a “jack of all trades” working mostly as a carpenter. They are enjoying their new home and will be ready to take part in activities once we are fully opened.
David & Janet Faust, 510 Madonna, 941-889-9876 have been residing in South Gulf Cove and summer in the Rockland, ME area. David was an electrical engineer and more recently was in software development. Janet worked in the returns department of Reny’s Warehouse, a popular retail chain in Maine. David has a keen interest in photography. As Janet was growing up, she had a strong love for horses and worked for stables in her area. David is looking for “retirement” and Janet is anxious to join in the activities in the fall.
Roy & Joyce Hughes, 719 Del Luna, 248-881-0483 are from Durand, MI. They have been wintering for several years in Holiday Park. They were impressed very much with La Casa every time they came in to visit with friends, Ron and Pam Long. Wanting a larger place, they knew this home would be perfect. Roy and Joyce are both retired from General Motors. Roy likes golfing and Joyce is anxious to get to the pool. Both are ready to take part in many activities next season.
David Miller & Bonnie Creager, 326 Robalo, 540-686-5290 are from Chambersburg, PA. Dave has previously wintered in Harbor Cove and Harbor Isles. He has worked in the Corrections department and served in the Air Force and Army Guards. Bonnie worked for the Federal Government in purchasing. Dave enjoys fishing, hunting, and bowling. He also is known for his cooking, especially gourmet desserts. Bonnie likes to swim and going to consignment shops. She is looking forward to next season and joining in several activities.
