Monday, July 21, 2014 — Over this past weekend there were several reports of unlocked cars entered and bicycles stolen from carports.
PLEASE turn on your outside lights, lock your cars and be alert.
These incidents happened during night time hours, and Security has been alerted. With so many residents gone right now, please be mindful of your neighbor’s homes, particularly if they have left a car in the driveway.
On Saturday, July 19th, La Casa’s Activity Association hosted the July dance featuring the music of Rock “N Rhythm, a singing band made up of two vacalists from Port Charlotte who perform a wide variety of music from oldies, blues, doo wop, country to rock and roll and Motown. A great time was had by all who attended. Our next dance will be Saturday August 16th with Alex the Barber.

A fun day was had by all who attended and participated in the July 4th festivities! A total of 13 decorated golf carts participated in the Patriotic Golf Cart parade and 3 top prizes were awarded by our Judges.

This article is brief and is basically just to let you know there will be a boat trip in October to Cayo Costa. Tentative date is Thursday, October 30th. The Club will be subsidizing most of the cost and it will be a fun day with about 3 hours on the island. Bring your own chairs, coolers and picnic lunch (no alcohol as this is a State Park- only on the boat). There is swimming, shelling and walking around the island. The outing is for Boat Club members only and will cost $10 per person (includes $2 park admission). More info in September about ticket sales or call Linda 258-2334 or Sandy 429-9809. The Monday night Activity Association meetings have been cancelled for the months of July and August. Our next meeting will be Monday, September 8th. Have a wonderful summer!!
